Escape to the country

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Devon Cornwall border is our peaceful, forty two acre farm, with sheep, cows, hens, a happy farmyard cat and Carlo the friendly working sheepdog.

Located between the historic market towns of Launceston and Tavistock, and a stone's throw from Dartmoor National Park, The Stables and The Granary cottages sit around the main farmyard, with far reaching, countryside views.

The Cottages

The Stables and The Granary are our two, fully equipped, self-catering cottages, each with the following:

  • Shared farmyard lawn areas

We took our first trip as a family with a new baby to Sue's property. We arrived to a warm welcome, with fresh flowers and afternoon tea. Sue was incredibly friendly and taught us about the running of her farm - it was lovely to see the sheep and cows from our windows! Such a change from everyday city life. We couldn't recommend this place enough and will undoubtedly be aiming to return in the future!

What a lovely place. We had the best week staying in The Stables. Location was perfect, outlook amazing and Sue was a perfect host. Thank you for making us all feel welcome. My son loved playing on the bike and tractor. If you're looking for somewhere to relax, unwind and chill then this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely be returning.

The Granary is brilliant, comfortable, homely and clean. The setting is absolutely beautiful, amongst the rolling hills, the sunsets are the best I’ve ever seen. In Sue you have the perfect host as she is available before and during your stay. The animals are so fun too, with sheep, cows, Carlo the sheep dog and Reuben the cat around if you want to interact. Simply the perfect country cottage getaway.

Getting here

Winbrook Farm is located on the Devon-Cornwall border, amidst the rolling hills between Launceston and Tavistock.

We are close to the A30, for easy access in all directions, and we are ideally placed for trips to the beaches, national parks and other local attractions.
